This class is 90 minutes based around primary and secondary series poses. This practice for for those wishing to deepen their practice and looking to move further into the abilities of their bodies. Be ready to flow, get warm, stretch and strengthen your body. Not suitable to beginners.
Humblebee is more than just yoga. We invite all wellbeing activities. So we have teamed up with CompassFit PT to offer an early morning energising body weight workout (30 mins) followed by 15 minutes of yoga inspired stretching to set you up for the day! Suitable to beginners and gym bunnies alike. Lee from Compass offers amazing variations and challenges to suit everyone!
Rise & Shine/Express
This shorter classes are designed to discover your bodies through the use of vinyasa flow and breathing techniques. We flow on the mat using our breath to focus, strengthen, stretch, connect and mobilise. Expect to feel energised and ready to start your day in the best possible way!
Most classes come with this practice. We will go through a seated meditation practice using different techniques to help to identify which resonates with you most. We may touch on some pranayama and breath work in these sections of the class. Expect to connect with yourself, feel a sense of awareness and calm.
Every month we will focus on a style of yoga, an aspect of the physical yoga practice, an aspect of the deeper practices of yoga from meditation to breath work and pranayama. A monthly check in to ask questions and move together. This session can be likened to a open easy going workshop with practical and theory intertwined.
Yin Yoga is a traditionally slow paced yoga, holding poses from 3-8 minutes. These are mostly floor based poses and can be supported with the use of props. In this class expect stillness, meditative energies and deep [myofascial] stretches. We close with a deep relaxation and meditation practice to send you into your evening feeling peaceful and ready for a good nights sleep.
Yang to Yin
This class is designed to move from our yang energy to your yin energy. We begin with Sun Salutations, moving on the mat in a hatha (hold poses from 5-10 breaths) or vinyasa style where we flow more. Each class is different so expect the unexpected. We then transition into our yin element of the class slowing down, holding floor poses for a lot longer and finally finding stillness with a delicious savasana/relaxation to finish.
